Doctor’s Best Glucosamine Chondroitin MSM contains pure glucosamine sulfate, as confirmed by HPLC testing. Glucosamine sulfate supports joint health for joint lubrication, joint movement and flexibility. Glucosamine sulfate is extracted from chitin, a long-chain polymer consisting of many glucosamine molecules linked together. Chitin forms structural frameworks in many living things, including aquatic crustaceans such as lobsters, crabs and shrimp. In this formula, the glucosamine is purified and then sulfated and stabilised with potassium chloride.
Cartilage, composed of proteoglycans, is mainly located on bones, near the joints and consists primarily of collagen protein with side chains called chondroitin sulfate.
