Nattokinase is a fibrinolytic enzyme derived from “natto”, a traditional Japanese food. Nattokinase lowers plasma levels of proteins that affect blood flow. These actions of Nattokinase are similar to the enzyme, plasmin, which aids the breakdown of fibrin. Excess fibrin has been shown to contribute to cardiovascular issues such blood pressure, poor circulation and slow tissue repair.
